Nikkei April 2025
The astrology of the Nikkei April 2025
To say the last few weeks have been interesting for the financial markets would be a major understatement.
While I admit to thriving on economic disruption, we must not forget those who are less fortunate and who suffer greatly from financial instability and the misinformation that accompanies it. Unfortunately such events rarely help balance inequalities and only accentuate them
However, drawing attention to injustice and information asymmetry is not my primary role; my duty is to report what I expect to occur with as little bias as possible.
With that in mind, we’ll turn to the charts.
Much of what we have seen in early April was triggered by Uranus crossing over 23 degrees of Taurus. As we have seen in previous years 23 degrees is a degree picked up in numerous financial and political charts, and was active in both the Neptune Jupiter conjunction of 2022 and Uranus Jupiter conjunction of 2024.Coincidentally, I was working on some long term forecasting a week ago and this included Japan. The Nikkei chart was such a perfect example of the theme that I thought I would present it here.he body content of your post goes here. At we can see Uranus was exactly conjunct the Nikkei Sun on Sunday 6th. Much of the impact on the market was between close of play on Friday and opening on Monday. Uranus per se does not represent market falls- merely significant shocks and thus volatility.
We can see from the Nikkei market chart of the last 3 month how that played out. The greatest drop was the morning of the 7th but the whole of the first 10 days of April were affected by the instability.

Of course we know it takes more than one swallow to make a summer and we can see that Uranus has some help. The Nikkei progressed Jupiter is trine the Sun at 25 Capricorn. This is a longer term influence and the reason that the Nikkei has recovered to its all time highs of 1989 in the last year or so. It accentuates anything so when combine with a sudden Uranus affect makes for a bigger fluctuation than would otherwise be the case.
We can also see the progressed Ascendant completing a grand trine with the Sun and progressed Jupiter this year -making it exceptional in many ways. Transiting Saturn, often a restraint on values in early April was at 25 Pisces and activated by retrograde transiting Venus significator of value- creating downward pressure- this was a global effect and indeed played out almost everywhere, with the impact on increased hectic trading signified by Mars also at 25 degrees trine Saturn/Venus . Note that even transiting Mercury and the North node are all within the 25-26 degree as well. Here, though, it tapped into the Nikkei natal configuration and created the perfect storm.
There are inevitably other elements in play too, and I will briefly describe them below, but that week they were dwarfed by the impact of Uranus supported by that Saturn ,Venus and Mars.
We can see other influences in the chart. Pluto is close to conjunction with natal Jupiter a contributor both to the Nikkei high but also its end. Note the repeated themes as it activities progressed Uranus and the configuration pulls in the natal Venus.
There is almost a double whammy too, as transiting Jupiter has just passed a sextile with natal Pluto and activating both the Natal and progressed Mercury- another sign that perhaps a high had come and gone.
We can’t forget progressed Venus either just coming to conjoin progressed Saturn creating longer term downward pressures which have meant that the market has only partially recovered.
Uranus has now moved on to 25-26 degrees, and will shortly be entering Gemini for the first time since the 1930s and 40s. That will bring different challenges over the coming years but for now our main focus must be on the approaching Saturn Neptune conjunction at 0-1degrees Aries which is heralding a completely new environment across the globe.
Of course this was a textbook case and prediction is usually much more difficult as the planets don’t always line up as neatly as this – but on the other hand we’d struggle to cope with the pressure if they did!
